This Privacy Policy explains what information Numbuko handles, how it is used, and the choices available to users.
1. Summary
Numbuko is an educational app.
Numbuko:
- does not include third-party analytics
- does not include third-party advertising
- does not sell personal information
- does not share data with third parties
- does not require users to create an account
- does not collect names, email addresses, location data, contacts, photos, or other directly identifying personal information
- does not transmit gameplay or usage data to our servers
All gameplay history and settings are stored locally on the user’s device unless the user chooses to export their own data.
2. Information Stored by the App
Numbuko stores a limited amount of information locally on the user’s device in order to support gameplay, settings, and educational progress tracking.
This may include:
- game session history, such as game mode, timestamp, session ID, duration, number of moves, incorrect taps, and target number
- user preferences, such as theme, colours, sound settings, and target number
- a randomly generated device UUID created on first launch and stored on the device
The random device UUID is used only to help group game history records from the same device in the app’s optional export file. It is not linked to a user’s identity and is not transmitted to us or to any third party.
3. How Information Is Used
The information stored by the app is used only to:
- save app preferences
- support educational progress tracking on the device
- allow users to review or export their own game history if they choose to do so
We do not use this information for advertising, profiling, behavioural tracking, or marketing.
4. Data Sharing
We do not share app data with third parties.
Numbuko does not send gameplay data, settings data, or device identifiers to our servers or to third-party services.
5. Optional User-Initiated Export
Numbuko includes an optional export feature that allows a user to export game history as a CSV file using the standard iOS share sheet.
This export:
- happens only when the user chooses to do it
- is under the user’s control
- may allow the user to send the exported file using services they select themselves, such as email or AirDrop
Once a user exports data using another app or service, that third-party service will handle the exported file under its own terms and privacy policy.
6. Children’s Privacy
Numbuko is an educational app. It is designed to minimise data use and does not include third-party analytics or advertising.
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children for transmission to us or to third parties.
7. Data Retention
Data stored by Numbuko remains on the device until:
- the user deletes it within the app
- the user deletes the app from the device
- the device storage is otherwise cleared by the user or operating system
8. Deleting Data
Users can delete stored app data through the in-app settings.
If the app is deleted from the device, locally stored app data may also be removed as part of the normal app removal process on iOS.
9. Security
Because Numbuko stores data locally on the device and does not transmit app data to our servers, exposure is reduced. However, no device or software environment can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. External Links
Numbuko may include links that open external websites in the user’s browser. If a user opens an external website, that website will operate under its own terms and privacy policy.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updated version will be posted at the current privacy policy URL with a revised effective date.
